Why We All Should Conduct a Candida Cleanse
By Candy Ho | April 3, 2009
Just how important is it to conduct a Candida cleanse? Let us illustrate something about the nature of Candida first. Candida is actually a type of yeast that likes to thrive in the human body’s digestive tract, the mouth, or the genitals. If you know that your mouth, digestive tract, and genitals are all prone to Candida yeast infection, then wouldn’t you want to conduct a Candida cleanse yourself? The obvious answer to this question is ‘YES’ and it would be even more resounding once you know of the very troubling, very hassling symptoms that come with the condition. These symptoms include fatigue, sinus congestion, headaches, migraines, mood swings, depression, mental fogginess, a significant drop in concentration and focus levels, and more. With these symptoms potentially becoming more severe in nature, you could definitely say that having a Candida cleanse is a wise decision.
It is even recommended by health practitioners to have a Candida cleanse once a year. Diet, for the most part, plays a huge role in Candida cleanse simply because yeast can be found literally in all sorts of food items that we eat. For instance, you should avoid food items that are sweetened because sugar promotes yeast growth. You should also scrap off yeast products, such as cheese, beer, and even bread. This can be particularly difficult to do so if you want to conduct an effective Candida cleanse program, then make sure to ask the help of your physician and dietician. This way, he or she can lay out a diet plan for you.
Once diet is implemented, you can then move onto the next step ‘ colon cleansing. You may wonder why you need to cleanse your colon when you just want to do a Candida cleanse. This is because you need to make sure your colon is healthy and is functioning as it should. There are a lot of colon cleansing products that you can buy off any local drug store or supermarket.
After cleansing your colon come antifungal supplements, like grapefruit seed extract or oregano oil. Antifungal supplements actually do the killing of Candida so they should indeed be included in your Candida cleanse. You should start with just a capsule taken over a few days. Then, you increase your dosage gradually ‘ 5 to 8 capsules a day would do ‘ over a 2-week period.
After those two weeks, you can then start taking a probiotic of your choice. Go to your local health food store and you can find a wide range there. You should also consume a fiber/psyllium shake every day. To make Candida cleanse easier for you, you can mix your probiotic with your shake.
Conducting a Candida cleanse is indeed important in keeping your colon and your digestive tract healthy. This is indeed something all of us should consider doing.
